This solid color (no selvage striping) cashmere and wool blend on this cloth created this very soft and tight fabric.
Available in limited quantities and with a plain edge.
While wool comes from sheep, cashmere comes from goats: cashmere goats, pashmina goats, and some other breeds. ... A good way to think about it is that all cashmere is wool, but not all wool is cashmere. Still, cashmere is finer, lighter, softer, and offers three times the insulating properties as sheep's wool
The pricing on this cloth reflects the percentage of cashmere within the blend. The higher the percentage of cashmere within the cloth, the higher the price.
In expert hands, wool takes dye like no other fiber, creating permanently rich color you'll admire for years. These energetic, vibrant stripes are inspired by the celebrated serape patterns of Saltillo, Mexico, and woven in our Pacific Northwest mills. A lighter weight makes these blankets just right for late summer and early fall.
