In more recent years I have noticed members of the Kickapoo tribe visiting Sharp's more frequently. As we have came to make new friends one of the things we have learned is that many Kickapoo's do not wear the color red. When I first learned about this I began trying to find things without red to better cater to their needs. Going through my blanket books and circling everything that didn't have red first then going back and placing my order based on what I had found, carrying particular items they had requested here and there. One of my biggest struggles was watching members of this tribe struggle to purchase wool. Some were even cutting the salvage off so it wouldn't have red on it. Teton has always been extraordinarily helpful, asking what I was needing, asked for my opinion and asking if I needed any help with certain items and so on. After we had ordered our first custom color of wool, Poppy Purple. They had asked if there was anything we were needing outside of custom colors. The Kickapoo people were the first to come to mind. I let them know about what my customers were needing, Teton ran with that information, put in the research and asked lots of questions and before I knew it Kickapoo white and black were here. I think Kickapoo White is one of the nicest colors Teton has produced since they started. This 60" 100% wool broadcloth is clean, crisp and easy on the eyes. A special thank you to Teton Trade Cloth for helping me cater to my customers and thank you to the Kickapoo Tribe for choosing to do business here. We appreciate you here at Sharp's.
